Overview
Smallpdf is a web-based PDF suite covering conversion, compression, merging, editing, OCR, redaction and signing, plus AI tools to chat with, summarize and translate PDFs. It is sold as Free, Pro, Team and Business tiers; Business is custom-priced, and Pro can be tried free for 7 days before it bills. The free tier is usable for occasional jobs but puts a daily download limit on most tools, and holds back Edit Text, batch conversion, strong compression and OCR-based Office conversion for paid plans. AI features run on every tier, with a 50 MB file cap and a larger word limit once you pay. Smallpdf also offers a Windows app and mobile apps, and says it is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. Team plans add seat management and central billing.
